Premier Equestrian - Sportsmanship Awards

Loxahatchee Trainer Wins Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award at Gold Coast Fall Fling

Wellington, FL (November 19, 2011)– Rider and trainer Kari Garber had a smile on her face during the Gold Coast Fall Fling, and that smile helped the dressage trainer take home the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award. Sponsored by Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, the Premier Sportsmanship Award is awarded to a rider who displays a high level of sportsmanship during a show.

Garber, who owns the full-service dressage facility Finesse Farm in Loxahatchee, Florida, competed the 12-year-old American-bred Swedish Warmblood L.A. Baltic Destiny at the Gold Coast Fall Fling. “He’s a new horse for me and this was his first time at a show,” Garber said. “Baltic is a horse with a lot of enthusiasm and my ride was a lot of fun. He tries so hard and that put a smile on my face.”

Garber was also smiling about winning the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award and thanked Premier for sponsoring the show. “I am quite pleased and quite surprised to win it and it’s a lot better than winning the class,” Garber said. “I think it is wonderful to have generous sponsors and winning the sportsmanship award means a lot to me.  We need to be happy with what our horses give us each and every day.”

“Sportsmanship is an important part of competition and Premier is pleased to be able to highlight it through our award. I want to congratulate Kari on winning the Premier Sportsmanship Award,” said Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian. “Being a good sport is certainly the mark of a successful rider, both in the show ring and in their business.”
Zorn added that Premier is pleased to be part of the winter dressage circuit. “Many of our clients compete in south Florida in the winter and it’s great when we see them at the shows,” she said. “As a leading supplier of arena footing, we also see many clients at the shows who rely on our footing each day as they ride and train. We always get great feedback because our products are world class.”

Zorn added that Premier was responsible for adding GGT-Footing to the arenas at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center, where the Gold Coast Dressage shows are held. “Our footing is well known in the Wellington area and I am happy that all of the riders at the Gold Coast Fall Fling were able to experience our footing,” she said, adding that Premier is also well known for their dressage arenas. “Premier was chosen as an official supplier to the 2010 World Equestrian Games where we supplied the dressage arenas as well as the dressage warm-up arena, driving arena, driving warm-up arena and the flower boxes and dressage letters.”
Premier Equestrian also offers a complete line of horse jumps and horse jumping equipment. Including jump standards, gates, walls, jump cups, horse jump poles, sponsor jumps, and cavaletti.
