Premier Launches Canine Division Debuting New Rings and Jumps During AKC/Eukanuba National Championships

Orlando, FL (December 26, 2012) – Premier successfully launched their new canine division to the overwhelming delight of dog breeders, spectators and exhibitors during the AKC/Eukanuba National Championships held in Orlando, Florida. Working directly with Eukanuba, Premier Canine’s new conformation rings and dog agility jumps debuted at the “Celebrate Dogs” Championships, receiving rave reviews from dog enthusiasts as well as from the American Kennel Club itself.

“We tried something brand new,” states Jason Taylor, Director of Communications and Influencer Relations for Eukanuba, “We hooked up with Premier to design a show ring that would accommodate dog conformation judging, which has never been done anywhere else in the world. And I tell you, everyone is loving these Premier rings!” Taylor also explained that dog shows are much different than horse shows because of the different sizes and variety of the breeds.

In the past, it has been difficult for judges and spectators to clearly see all the dogs through an unobstructed view due to the traditional one-size-fits all show rings used in dog shows. Now, thanks to Premier’s innovation and experience in the show arena industry, seeing the dogs during their biggest performance is no longer a problem. “Premier’s rings provide the necessary boundary, and it does so in a very elegant way, but in the end, it’s about being able to see the dogs. These rings allow for this better than anything that anyone has ever seen before.”

Taylor also describes the need for dog show rings to be extremely versatile. “We’re constantly reconfiguring rings based on breed size,” he says, “Different breeds need different size rings, and with the new Premier rings, this is very quickly done because they are so easy to move and easy to set up. And the flower boxes look absolutely beautiful!”

Premier Canine’s new dog conformation arenas are made with 100% UV resistant PVC, and are designed for easy set up and installation. The arena size is 60’ x 60’ and comes with support cones that are 12” tall, as well as 1.5” x 5.5” rails that are 10’ long. These arenas have been very successful in horse shows for years, and feature qualities like wind stability, UV resistance and extreme durability.

In addition to the rings, Premier Canine also debuted their new dog agility jumps. “I have loved dogs my whole life,” states Shirley Zorn, co-founder of Premier Canine. “Every breed, every color, and every size. So when my sister, Heidi and her husband, Mark asked me if I was interested in working with them to expand Premier’s business to include dog jumps, it was a dream come true. So, we went to work and developed a line of dog agility products that are safe, high quality, easy to use and fun for the dogs.”

One of these jumps was awarded to lucky raffle prize winner, June Diem during the Championships. The Premier Canine dog agility jumps provide the same high quality standard that people have come to expect from Premier. Made with an enhanced foot design, the jump sets include wing standards, one striped pole along with a jump strip on each standard. The jump strips are marked with the heights and made for easy set up. “Our products are designed for all of those who love their dogs and want to give them the best!” adds Zorn.

Premier Equestrian Signs on as VIP Sponsor of 2013 Dressage Summit

Premier Equestrian Signs on as VIP Sponsor of 2013 Dressage Summit

Wellington, FL (December 10, 2012) - Dressage enthusiasts visiting Wellington in the winter of 2013 will have the opportunity to attend a very unique learning experience, which will feature an unmatched collaboration of the world’s top dressage masters and equestrian psychologists.  The Dressage Summit is a three-day event bringing together four modern-day masters in an unprecedented combination of classical dressage and contemporary equestrian training.  Featuring classical riding master Walter Zettl, renowned classical dressage author and clinician Charles de Knuffy, FEI “I” judge in eventing and dressage Christoph Hess, and natural horsemanship experts Linda and Pat Parelli, The Dressage Summit brings the historical art of dressage into today’s show ring for the benefit of both horses and riders alike.  Premier Equestrian will support the Summit as the official VIP host, and is dedicated to promoting and supporting dressage across the United States.

Walter Zettl, Linda Parelli, and Christoph Hess Dressage Summit 2013

“Walter’s knowledge of classical dressage is unsurpassed,” explains Mark Neihart, CEO of Premier Equestrian. “He possesses information that came from the great masters hundreds of years ago.  Heidi Zorn, the President of Premier Equestrian, knew that Walter’s experience and knowledge were something that needed to be shared with dressage riders and trainers in conjunction with other top names in the sport.”  Zettl was trained for the cavalry using classical principles; the goal of training was to create an athlete while at the same time preserving the horses mentally, physically and emotionally.   Zorn continues, “Walter understands what a great animal and athlete the horse is.  His compassion for them runs deep.  The goal of his training is to inspire the horse’s confidence in the rider while developing his natural athletic ability, and The Dressage Summit is a way for this theory to reachsome of the top competitive riders in the United States.”

Zettl will be joined by today’s modern dressage leaders and masters, Charles de Knuffy, Christoph Hess and Linda and Pat Parelli.  This combination brings together the best of classical dressage, contemporary equestrian sport training and natural horsemanship methods. Held on February 9-11, 2013 at the Global Dressage Festival’s indoor stadium, these three days will focus on working together to build stronger horse/human partnerships in classical and competitive dressage.  Zettl, the Parellis, de Knuffy, and Hess will demonstrate how to apply the fundamental principles of classical dressage to every level of the sport while respecting the dignity of both horse and human. This groundbreaking collaboration between dressage masters and top horsemen provides a rare opportunity for dressage enthusiasts of all levels. “We want horses to be honored for their amazing service to mankind,” states Zorn. “Premier Equestrian will help in any way to promote this goal.”

While Premier is known for their dressage arenas—they provided the dressage arena equipment for the new Global Dressage Festival in Wellington as well as thedressage arenas and dressage letters for the 2010 World Equestrian Games inKentucky—Premier is also known for their footing.  Premier’s website offers extensive and informative information designed to help horse owners understand the differences in horse arena footing and footing amendments.
