Legacy Farms of Jupiter Trainer Jeffrey Lord Wins Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award at Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge III Wellington, FL (May 3, 2011) -Thanks to his ever-present smile and a great attitude, Legacy Farms of Jupiter trainer Jeffrey Lord rode away with the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award during the Wellington Classic Dressage Challenge III Show. Lord, of West Palm Beach, rides for Debi Berger who owns Legacy Farms of Jupiter. Lord competes many of the Legacy horses, including Legacy's Conquistador Del Sol, a 16.2 hand, black, Pure Spanish Breed Andalusian stallion, Legacy's Adrian, a 17.1 hand chestnut Danish Warmblood gelding and Legacy's Hawke, a 16.1 hand black Friesian gelding. Lord was thrilled to win the Premier Sportsmanship Award and said his constant smile is a result of doing something that he loves. "My secret to good sportsmanship is to remember at the end of the day that I am in this sport because it is my passion and I love to do it," he said. A year-round South Florida resident who grew up in Maine, Lord said he enjoys competing the Legacy horses and competed Legacy's Adrian at the Wellington Challenge III show. "My goals include competing the black Andalusian in the Prix St. Georges next season and then eventually competing him in the Grand Prix," Lord said. Thanks to his great sportsmanship during the show, Lord rode away with a pair of German-designed Roeckl gloves from Premier Equestrian. Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, has added two new Pro Tips Video clips to YouTube which detail how to properly layout dressage letters.
The two new videos are entitled “How To Set Up Dressage Letters, 20 x 40” and “How To Set Up Dressage Letters, 20 x 60.” The short, free videos are part of Premier’s educational program designed for riders of all disciplines and riding levels. The videos give excellent tips, including how to remember the placement of the letters in the large dressage arena by memorizing the sentence, “All Kinds of Very Excellent Show Horses Can Make Riding Bareback Pretty Fun.” Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian, said the Pro Tip Videos have been a big hit with riders. “We are thrilled to expand our Pro Tip instructional video series because we have had so much positive feedback from riders and trainers. Premier Equestrian and The United States Dressage Federation Now Offering "On The Levels" DVD For New Tests Sandy, UT (May 17, 2011)– Dressage riders seeking to learn and study the 2011 USDF dressage tests can now do so with a new and updated DVD edition of “On The Levels.” Produced by Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, and the USDF, the new versions of the tests became effective December 1, 2010.
“The DVD includes the USDF Introductory through USEF Fourth Level Test 3. The three hours of test video features elements of both training and judging and allows the viewer to see and hear how each of the newly designed dressage tests should be ridden,” said Heidi Zorn, President of Premier. “And of course being able to watch and learn from the comfort of your own home is great. Or a group of riders can get together in a clinic setting and watch and learn as a group.” The “On The Levels” DVD features FEI judges Lilo Fore and Gary Rockwell. Fore is a well-known dressage trainer and FEI “I” judge from California and throughout the DVD Fore comments on each ride and gives a trainer’s perspective on how to successfully ride each test. Rockwell, who lives in Florida and is one of only three U.S. FEI “O” judges, gives the judge’s perspective, scoring each movement of each test and giving a final score. “The combination of expertise from these two judges creates a comprehensive training tool for students and trainers alike and I know dressage riders everywhere will learn so much from this 5th edition DVD,” Zorn said. “Premier also produced the 4th edition ‘On The Levels’ DVD set currently being retired after its four year run.” The “On The Levels” DVD was designed, shot, and edited by Mark Neihart, co-founder of Premier Equestrian. “We filmed it at Starr Vaughn Equestrian Center in Elk Grove, California, where riders from around the area converged for two days of filming,” Neihart said. Neihart manages Premier’s in-house production studio capable of producing full feature video and audio programs.
