Tips about Arena Footing by Premier Equestrian.

How to prevent injury in horses by having the correct footing in your arena.  If you have hard footing it could cause problems in your horses legs and hooves.  Poor shoeing can also cause a problem in your horses legs and feet.  Good footing is very important.

Premier Equestrian offers a wide range of horse arena footing additives. All our arena footing products are safe, non-toxic and affordable, and will help eliminate dust, reduce watering, and aid in the reduction of stress to your horse's joints and tendons.

All of our footings are designed to be mixed with sand, but not all sands are suitable.

  • Stabilizes sand particles and delivers high elasticity.
  • Gentle on the bare hoof (less horn abrasion) with great energy absorption for less concussion.
  • High slide strength and intermediate shear resistance delivers additional stability.
  • Improves and balances moisture absorption (longer intervals between watering).
  • High water storage capacity as well as good emission and drainage.
  • Good resistance to compacting.

We offer different product types for your particular discipline, i.e. jumping, dressage, general arena riding and even for racetracks. Our products endure the test of time, resist packing, provide optimal drainage and minimize joint and tendon stress on the equine athlete. We are confident that our product will improve equestrian success while promoting and protecting the health of your valuable horses / equine athletes.
