Premier Equestrian - Sportsmanship Award

Nancy Later Wins Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award at Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge
Wellington, FL (October 25, 2011)– Nancy Later’s beautiful smile and positive attitude at the Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge helped the accomplished dressage trainer take home the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award. Sponsored by Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, the Premier Sportsmanship Award is awarded to a rider who displays a high level of sportsmanship during a show.
Later, who operates Nancy Later Dressage in Loxahatchee, Florida, thanked Premier for sponsoring the award and commented on her ability to be a good sport. “I love what I do every day which includes developing a partnership with horses. I believe that in order to be a good sport you need to enjoy spending time with horses and feel lucky that you are outside in the beautiful Florida sun. I know I feel lucky,” she said.

During the show Later competed Navarre D, an Andalusian owned by a client in Texas, in the Fourth Level Test 1 class. “He did fantastic in his trot work and most of his canter. We did have a couple of little mistakes though,” she said. Despite the mistakes, Later smiled her way through the test to become the recipient of the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award and the winner of a $100 gift certificate from Premier Equestrian.
“I am pleased to welcome Nancy as a Premier Sportsmanship Award winner. Sportsmanship is an important part of competition, and Premier is pleased to be able to highlight it through our award,” said Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian. Premier is considered America’s leading manufacturer and distributor of dressage arenas and their website offers extensive and informative information designed to help horse owners understand the differences in arenas as well as horse arena footing. Premier supplied GGT Footing for the dressage arenas at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center where the Wellington Classic Dressage Autumn Challenge Show was held. “Proper horse arena footing is a big issue and Premier has the answers to the most often asked questions when it comes to arena footing,” Zorn said.

Premier Equestrian, LLC Supports The 2012 Florida Winter Dressage Season By Presenting The Premier Sportsmanship Award

Wellington, FL (October 3, 2011) – Premier Equestrian is once again sponsoring an award during the 2012 Dressage Season – the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award. Premier, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps and stable accessories, will award a gift certificate for $100 worth of Premier products to the winner of the Sportsmanship Award throughout the dressage season.

“Last year we sponsored the Premier Sportsmanship Award and everyone who won was thrilled,” said Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian. “We offer a fantastic line of dressage equipment, jumping equipment, rubber mats, barn and stable accessories, books, DVDs, and footing including ProTex and GGT Footing. Any equestrian will be able to find something they need and really want among our selection.”

The Premier Sportsmanship Award is awarded to a rider who displays a high level of sportsmanship during a show. “Whether they win with a smile or lose with a grin, we are looking for riders who help their fellow horsemen and who prove they are a good sport during the stress of the show day,” Zorn said. “We want to honor riders with good sportsmanship skills, because at the end of the day that person makes the world a better place.”

Zorn added that many of Premier’s clients compete on the winter dressage circuit. “I love being at the shows and seeing people who have installed a Premier dressage arena or who have a jump course made of Premier jumps,” she said. “We always get great feedback because our products are world class. As a leading supplier of arena footing, we also see many clients at the shows who rely on our footing each day as they ride and train.”

Chosen as an official supplier to the World Equestrian Games, Premier Equestrian supplied the dressage arenas for the World Equestrian Games, as well as the dressage warm-up arena, driving arena, driving warm-up arena and the flower boxes and dressage letters. “Our footing is also well known in the Wellington area. Premier was responsible for adding the GGT-Footing to the arenas at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center for the World Dressage Masters. So riders competing at the Jim Brandon Center for the Wellington Classic Dressage shows and the Gold Coast Dressage Association shows will get to experience our footing,” Zorn said. “We also supplied the Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex with their footing.”

Premier Equestrian also offers a complete line of horse jumps and horse jumping equipment. Including jump standards, gates, walls, jump cups, horse jump poles, sponsor jumps, and cavaletti. Premier Equestrian - Sportsmanship Award

Devon Kane of Diamante Farms Wins Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award at the 2011 Great American/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships

Ocala, FL (October 18, 2011)– Devon Kane of Diamante Farms arrived at the Great American/ USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships in Ocala with high hopes for her three competing horses.  She soon discovered, however, that due to a glitch in the computer system, her entries had been misfiled and no stalls had been assigned for her horses. While this may have been the end of the road for most, Kane kept a positive attitude, and once the issues were resolved, went on to win quite a few ribbons.  This positive attitude and outlook earned Kane the Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award and a gift certificate for a Charles Owen helmet.  The Sportsmanship Award is presented at selected equestrian events throughout the country and is designed to recognize a rider whose positive attitude, helpfulness, and sportsmanlike conduct sets them apart. The Region 3 Championships were held in conjunction with the Deep South Dressage and Combined Training Association (DSDCTA) at HITS Post Time Farm in Ocala, Florida.

“I called my trainer, Michelle Gibson, in tears,” Kane said. “She helped to calm me down when I first heard about the mix up.  Then I just decided to have faith that everything would work itself out and kept my outlook positive.”  Kane and her Dutch Warmblood Prins went on to win the Intermediaire 2 Championship with a 62.947%. Kane and Sanchez, a six-year-old, won the 3rd Level Championship with a score of 68.462%.  Destiny, Kane’s Prix St. Georges mount, earned a 72.105% to come in second in the PSG and in their Intermediaire 1 debut, Kane and Destiny scored a 69.474% to win the class.  No doubt Kane’s positive attitude in the face of lost entries and no stabling contributed to her success.

Heidi Zorn, the President of Premier Equestrian, congratulated Kane on her positivity and her wins.  “Devon is the perfect example of a good sport, and we are so pleased to present her with our award,” said Zorn.  “At horse shows so many things contribute to a good ride or a good show, and having a great outlook and a helpful attitude can not only affect your own performance but other’s experiences as well.  We congratulate Devon and hope she will continue to shine through her attitude and her stellar rides.”
