Horse Training - Premier Equestrian Walter Zettl DVD

Walter Zettl’s “Matter Of Trust” DVD Series From Premier Equestrian Approaches Landmark $1 Million Sales

Sandy, UT (February 16, 2012)  Classical Dressage Master Walter Zettl’s DVD series “A Matter of Trust” has reached a prestigious landmark that many training videos – whether exercise, self-help or educational – rarely manage to achieve. Zettl’s “A Matter of Trust” series is approaching $1 Million in retail sales, making the series a huge success in not only the dressage world but in video sales in general.

Walter Zettl matter of trust dvd

In the five-volume “A Matter of Trust” series, Zettl elaborates on the theory classical masters have used for centuries. Zettl’s approach reinforces correct training methods, building a partnership with your horse, proper movements and above all gentleness in riding.  The series was produced by founders Heidi Zorn and Mark Neihart of Premier Equestrian, LLC, in conjunction with Dancing Deer Productions, LLC. “I met Walter at the USDF Convention in 2000. I watched his symposium and fell in love with him. I booked a clinic with him in Salt Lake City, Utah and when he taught the clinic I knew we needed to document his information so that his classical dressage methods wouldn’t be lost,” Zorn said.

Zorn and Neihart spent three years following Zettl to clinics all over the country, documenting his teaching from Training Level to Grand Prix. “Mark filmed, edited and narrated the entire series. The series wouldn’t have been what it is if it wasn’t for Mark’s creative genius,” Zorn said, adding that Zettl was pleased to have the series produced. “Walter was concerned about people who couldn’t get to a clinic or didn’t have access to top trainers. He wanted everyone to have access to his information and we wanted to preserve his ideas. There are only a few Classical Dressage Masters left and Walter is one of them.”

Zettl, a life-long equestrian with over 57 years of experience in riding and coaching the world's finest horses and students, is a Canadian resident who travels abroad teaching his life's work to equine enthusiasts all over the world. Zettl's many successes include coaching at international level competitions such as the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, as well as coaching at the North American Young Riders' Championship.

In addition to his “Matter of Trust” series, Zettl is the author of Dressage In Harmony and his latest book The Circle of Trust. He has written countless articles published in North America and Europe. “Walter’s knowledge of classical dressage is unsurpassed. This really is an excellent series and is very complete. Mark and I have been honored to join Walter in this venture, and the fact that the series has sold so many copies is a testament to the strength of Walter’s knowledge and this teaching,” Zorn said.
Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, footing, and stable accessories, sells the “Matter of Trust” series through their website at www.PremierEquestrian.com, as does Zettl’s website, www.walterzettl.net . “The series is also sold through Linda and Pat Parelli’s Natural Horsemanship website, http://parelli.com. Pat and Linda have a great working relationship with Walter and he has been their trainer for many years,” Zorn said, adding that Dressage Extensions atwww.dressageextensions.com  and Trafalgar Square Books also sell the series.

Premier Equestrian Proudly Promotes “Made In America” Products

Sandy, UT (December 22, 2011) – Premier Equestrian, a leading supplier of dressage arenas, horse jumps, arena footing and stable accessories, has made a conscious decision to purchase “Made In America” products and proudly stands behind their commitment to help the local economy. Premier is well-known within the equestrian community for producing superior products, from dressage arenas used at the World Equestrian Games and the USDF Symposium, to arena footing for the rings at the World Dressage Masters to custom jumps that fill rings at prestigious shows across the country.

Wellington Rider Stephanie Frederick Wins Premier Equestrian Sportsmanship Award at International Horse Sport Dressage Show

“I truly believe we need to take care of our own country and support each other,” said Heidi Zorn, President of Premier Equestrian, a Utah-based company. “I would say that 98 to 99% of our products are made in North America and it was definitely a conscious decision we made to help our own economy."

Zorn said Premier did investigate having molded plastic products – such as dressage arenas, dressage letters and flower boxes, jump standards and jump poles -- made in China but after studying the facts they were convinced more than ever that they needed to employ from the local market. “When we checked into China we discovered that they did not guarantee quality control, they would charge us for putting UV inhibitors in the plastic products without actually guaranteeing the UV inhibitors would be put in and they weren’t willing to honor our intellectual property rights to not use our molds to go into competition against us,” Zorn said.

Zorn said the decision to have Premier’s products “Made in America” is one that the company is proud of and stands behind. “I am a real advocate that we should take care of ourselves and not foreign markets,” she said. “The best news is that we are very pleased with all of the companies we work with and have really found the American companies to be honorable and ethical.”

Premier employs molders in Utah as well as in California. “I really like our plastics that are made locally because we are able to control the UV inhibitors as well as impact modifiers and have everything produced according to specification without cutting corners,” she said, adding that Premier’s products, such as their dressage arenas, not only meet FEI and USEF published specifications but have a five year warranty against fading and discoloration due to weather or sunlight and are constructed with high-quality impact and UV-resistant polyvinyl chloride and polyethylene materials.

Premier’s products are sold around the globe and world-class riders from a variety of disciplines support Premier. “Our website offers extensive and informative information that can help horse owners understand the differences in everything from types of arenas we sell to the different types of horse footing available from Premier,” Zorn said, adding that Premier also has a YouTube channel featuring tips from professionals.

In addition to arenas, footing and jumps, Premier’s extensive website also includes equestrian necessities such as interlocking stall mats, base stabilization grids, carts, feed containers, water tanks, troughs and specialty hardware. For the rider, Premier offers helmets, gloves, Equine Comfort Products sheepskin saddle pads, educational material and training equipment. “We have some very exciting things for horse owners and riders,” Zorn said. Premier Equestrian also offers a complete line of horse jumps and horse jumping equipment, including jump standards, gates, walls, jump cups, horse jump poles, sponsor jumps, and cavaletti.
